Peter provides a full range of planning advisory and planning appeal services dealing with all development sectors. Although Peter is an independent consultant he regularly works in partnership with architects, solicitors and other professionals in specialist teams tailored to the specific project. He is well versed in the procedures and processes for direct access and in drafting instructions for barristers.



Planning Advice and Assistance
Peter advises clients on most aspects of planning and the planning process. This includes pre-application enquiries prior to submission of applications, advice concerning consultation, cetificates of lawful use and the requirements for S106 legal agreements.
He has particular expertise in green belt issues, heritage and conservation matters, central London planning and compulsory purchase.
Planning Applications
Peter is fully involved in the preparation and submission of planning applications and in pre-application advice and strategy to ensure the most effective route to a successful outcome. This may involve working alone or with a professional team of advisors. He also prepares and submits representations on development proposals on behalf of objectors.
Planning Feasibility
Peter regularly advises on the feasibility of development proposals and the potential of development sites. This can often be a due diligence exercise prior to purchase.
Planning Policy
Peter advises on planning policy and proposals and on becoming involved in the local or neighbourhood planning process. This may involve submitting representations or objections to emerging policies and appearing on behalf of clients at local plan examinations.
